May is almost over, which means summer is almost here! Wondering where the first half of the year went? So are we! Worrying that you aren’t as far along with your health & fitness goals as you planned? That’s okay – it happens to everyone!
We are sure you are going to rock that bathing suit 😉
But, just because it’s almost summer doesn’t mean you should throw away your health & fitness goals. Half way through the year is a great time to get back on track or even set some new ones. Need some inspiration for some new goals?
Here are a few of our favorites to stay healthy throughout the next few months.
- Exercises 3 – 4 times per week. Though summer months are often packed with BBQ’s and pool parties, it’s important to schedule time to exercise. And, summer is a great time to take advantage of the warm weather so ditch the treadmill and go for a run outside, throw on your bathing suit, grab some friends and go stand up paddle boarding, or jump in a pool and swim some laps. Exercise does not have to be daunting.
- On Monday’s go meatless. Give yourself some extra veggies each week by following meatless Monday’s. Ditch the beef or chicken for one day a week and enjoy some fish. Taking advantage of meatless Monday’s has a ton of benefits including improving digestion, increasing energy and increasing nutrient absorption.
- Do Red Light Therapy 4 – 6 times per week. We are confident you’ll be spending a good amount of time outside catching some rays, but you should continue to visit us at Aspen Tan for some red light therapy. The Beauty Light is absorbed by the skin cells (fibroblasts), where it stimulates the body’s own production of collagen, elastic and hyaluronan. Small wrinkles are reduced and the skin becomes visibly tauter and smoother.
